Fortune Nwachukwu was born and raised in South East Nigeria, a country in West Africa. He graduated from high school in the same country in the year 2013 before he moved to the United States in May 2017 in pursuit of his academic career. He graduated from Tyler Junior College in December 2019 with an associate degree in arts. His love and drive for education and the people make him focus more on finishing his second degree, which will qualify him to practice nursing. He is the fourth child in a family of seven, which comprises four siblings of which three are older with a younger sister. Family principles are one of the distinguishers as he is raised in a great one.

He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society where he serves as Vice President of Scholarship. Prior to his position, he was the Vice President of Leadership where the chapter was recognized in 2019 as a distinguished chapter amongst other chapters in Texas community colleges. Fortune also serves as Vice President of Inspirations with B2B mentoring program, which is another active and community-involved organization in Tyler Junior College.
